The item upgrade was first introduced in Generation II. This item upgrade allows Porygon2 to evolve when traded while held.
It can be slotted into armor, weapon gear and trinkets to give an additional bonus effect or increase its value. The majority of upgrade components require the item be in a certain state before it can be inserted.
Recycle points
Recycle points can be used to upgrade certain items. They can be obtained by plastic and recycling containers, and also from completing missions. They can also be earned through the recycling incentive scheme that rewards players for taking their garbage to recycling bins. These points can be exchanged to purchase household items and cash at the iRecycle store.
To recycle an item, click on it using the right-click, and then press R. You'll get a small amount of books and XP. This can be used to recycle any item, including bows, heroes, weapons and shields, skills and food. Weapons that start are the sole exception. This is not the same thing as retiring an item, which erases it but grants you an abundance of resources.

Substats
The sub-stats of an artifact are random, but can be improved by a number of methods. The number of sub-stats that an artifact has is determined by its rank. It is ranked 2 and has no sub-stats, whereas the rank 5 has five. If you'd like to have more chances of getting an individual sub-stat You can make use of the REFINE ARTIFACTS feature to boost it by 4 levels. However, this will cost you MORA. Find duplicates is a different way to increase the sub-stats of an item. You can then improve the duplicates so that they have more rarity and different set of sub-stats. This can be an effective method for players with high levels to boost their character's DPS. Be cautious to not overdo it and risk losing your MORA.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens allow players to play a second time with the item currently equipped by a unit. When rerolling, the item can be exchanged for an equivalent version that is level 1 of the same item, but with additional bonuses, and a different kind of equipment (such as cups, knives or watches, or books). Rerolling an item could increase its ilvl in some cases. Rerolling an item is only helpful in the case of items with a rare affix.
Rerolling an item resets its base power and all upgrades, and rerolls the substats on top of that. This is helpful if a ring's substats are not what the player wants or if a rings maximum power was less than what the user would like. The reroll token can be found from a variety of sources, including the skulled creatures, the mystery box or as a reward after defeating a boss.
Weapons, armor, rings and other items can all be changed. Weapons can be rerolled in physical power, spell power, or health. Rings can be rerolled to increase damage or durability, while armor can be rerolled to reduce damage or boost defense. Rerolling a piece of equipment that has been crafted can result in a rare item of the same sort. However the item that is rerolled will not retain the ilvl of its original owner and any resources wasted will not be repaid.
The process of rerolling is done by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by a circling arrows on the menu of items. The ilvl is taken into consideration twice, as the main and off-hands have different iLevels.
The iLevel of an item determines the stat priority it will receive. Certain stats are more valuable than others depending on the class or specifications. For instance, crit rating is expensive while haste rating is fairly affordable. Item level also determines the amount of the item's budget that is allocated to primary stats and secondary stats.
It is essential to have the best equipment for your character. This will allow you to progress faster through the game and gain access to more areas. Additionally the higher your item's level is, the more damage you can deal in PvP.
